Theatre Visit: 15th February

Year 9 and 10 Drama students attended a performance of ‘Teechers’ by John Godber at NK Theatre Arts in Romiley. They had a great time and a unique opportunity to speak with both the director and actors after the performance. Katie Lewis, a year 10 student particularly commented on how she had loved the stylised techniques used and how she could relate her classroom learning to the multi-rolling performances. She can’t wait for the next one!

RSHS Drama Clubs adaptation of ‘Blood Brothers’: 13th and 14th March

The Drama Club adaptation of this classic and highly studied play ‘Blood Brothers’ was a great success. Performed in intimate surroundings with selected friends and family of the cast, the Drama students worked extremely hard, rehearsing afterschool and in the holidays since October, to create superb performances that Willy Russell himself would have been proud of. The audience were very impressed including our Head Teacher Miss Beach who said “ They were amazing, they were all very professional and the performances were very impressive”. The students were extremely proud of their success and cannot wait until next year!
