This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week takes place as GCSE exams begin for many of our students making it an especially important time to focus on wellbeing and support.

At Rayner Stephens High School we understand that exams can feel stressful and overwhelming at times and we want students and families to know they are not facing those pressures alone.

Alongside revision we are encouraging students to look after their mental health by:

Breaking revision into smaller manageable chunks
Taking regular screen breaks
Keeping active and getting fresh air
Drinking plenty of water and eating well
Making time for sleep rest and downtime
Talking openly about worries or anxieties

Students can access support throughout the school day from Form Tutors pastoral staff safeguarding teams wellbeing support and trusted adults across school. Families are also encouraged to contact us if they have concerns about their child’s wellbeing during the exam season.

Mental Health Awareness Week reminds us that small daily actions can have a big impact and that asking for help is always a positive step.
